Prelude to a Cursed Hotel

A lovely reader Lora reminded me that I haven't posted in a while. I didn't realize it been nearly a month.

While I could sit here and offer excuses like time (I have too little) or kids (I have too much), I think the truth is that I have become a bit lazy and all.  And there's the Twitter.  Twitter makes posts seem like....work.  If you could see me, you'd realize this brief paragraph has already got me sweating.

And really, there's lots to tell you.  We just got back from a brief "vacation" to Lancaster County, PA and the Lake Eerie section of NY (is there more than one section?).  We went to see Thomas the Train and we stayed at a hotel that lets you sleep in a train car.  And while I had envisioned this adventure to go something like this:

...it was actually quite lovely.  That part anyway.  Since I only have about 10 minutes before I need to head out the door, I cannot tell you all about how my husband almost lost his eyeball, my parents were nearly suffocated in their sleep, and we all contracted the plague.  At least there was air conditioning.  Oh, and the journey home.  Yeah, that's one for the record books as well.

In the meantime, thanks for keeping this blog in your reading section.

(And for bearing with the horrible signature image I have invading my posts at the moment. I'M WORKING ON IT.)

  1. Those times when Thomas is struck a little silly, where his mouth takes on a rounded shape and his eyes zoom around in circles in their...orbits...or whatever it is trains have.

I apparently do a spot-on impersonation of those times.

  2. Where have you been? Your mother and I have been worried sick.

  3. sounds awesome, can't wait to hear, er read, all about it.

  4. Where have you been? Your mother and I have been worried sick.
