I'm hoping, banking, that at least a couple of you have heard of this Zeitgeist nonsense. It's a movement, evidently, and they've made a movie to scare the shit out of housewife bloggers underscore the importance of their goals.

If you look at their website, the "synopsis" of their movement really just sounds like a bunch of hippie crap--too abstract and idealist, and maybe makes you smell like pachouli and clove cigarettes.

If you took out all the people at the top who are engaged in global hegemonic rule, it would simply be a matter of time before another group stepped in to seek the same ambition. Therefore, it isn't the individual people or groups that are the problem. It is actually the conditions upon which those people have been accustomed and indoctrinated by. Of course, many argue against this view with the escapist notion that it is "human nature" that causes this competition and need for dominance. This is unsupported by the facts. In reality, we are nearly clean slates when we are born and it is our environment that shapes who we are and how we behave.

But the movie. The fucking MOVIE, people. I watched about twenty minutes of it last night, and experienced the following emotions:

1. Anxiety (heh)
2. Resentment
3. Terror (heh)
4. Disbelief
5. Anger

I think that was all of them. It was a nice way to wind down the evening.

Here's the full, two hour movie. I wish I could tell you which part to scroll to, in order to see the parts where they pretty much attempt to show that we bombed our own buildings 8 years ago, and according to the Rockefellers and Mr. Murdoch, did so in an effort to create a World Government where we're all microchipped.

For real. And while I don't necessarily take it at face value, I will say that this shit is mildly convincing. Oh, and graphic. And maybe don't watch it if you're anxious. Or plan on having a good day/life.

PS: I WON AN AWARD! From Jerrod! (Because I'm neurotic, presumably. What else could it be for?)

That (meaning, pee-snow) kind of makes up for the fact that our children and our children's children will be mindless drones!

  1. I have a friend who is TOTALLY convinced in the New World Order and that our government is a part of it and that they will be the beginning of the end of our world. It's a good thing he's a Christian since he believes that because it's a scary way to live otherwise.

  2. i haven't heard of this. i'm too scared to click on the link or the movie. i just get frustrated with this kind of thing, asking myself 'where do these people come up with this shit?!'

  3. Jules: After watching this, I can understand why people believe. In the same breath, however, it's exhausting to believe. Because it's pretty much impossible to do anything about it.

Lana: Yeah, I fucking hate this conspiracy theory shit. It just makes me anxious and defeated. It's also propaganda, which makes it hypocritical. I was kind of hoping someone out there knows a bit more about this organization to tell me how flawed it is :/

  4. I've had this shit shoved down my throat since I was a kid. It's slightly LESS odd when it's supposedly taken from the Bible, but it's still unnerving and was one of those things that led to my Guilt Diary in high school.

  5. And Congrats on your AWARD!!!!!!! Yay for being neurotic!!!

  6. Thank gawd I can't watch videos at work. I don't need to feel any of your 1-6 emotions at the moment. I'm assuming that #6 is accompanied by mindless running in circles and hair grabbing. Not proper work etiquette.

  7. I disagree with:
""In reality, we are nearly clean slates when we are born and it is our environment that shapes who we are and how we behave.""

The "Twins Study" done about a hundred years ago and continues in various aspects, draws a hard line for Nature over Nurture. Criminals beget criminals, decent people beget decent people. The original study, I would not have had the heart to do, but it was done with shocking results.

I try to stay away from anything involving the coming change, but it started a really long time ago. Unless people have ever lived under "Marshal Law" or understand the quirks in the laws passed immediately following 9/11. I can't believe (Don't want to believe) that the "P" Act would have been passed without 9/11 or something similar.

  8. TIM: So, it's crap, you're telling me? Please?

Jules: It's the only thing I know how to do well, I'm sure.

OWO: And also, sobbing and will-drafting.

@eloh: I can't tell if you're reaffirming this theory or not. In other words, ANXIOUS.

  9. Yellow snowballs should be avoided at all cost. Just a little friendly warning!

And my captcha is Nicki! OMG close but ur blog is not so great at spelling

  10. I just watched the video end to end. I haven't determined if I am one of the mindless masses or the naive elitists. I know I got paid enough worthless money while watching it that I can buy a six pack of New Castle Ale on the way home. After which I'm sure I'll turn on ESPN. Oh wait.....I must be part of the MM!

  11. This bothered me all night, I couldn't remember if I had clarified what I had meant or just added fuel to the crazy fire.

People are born with certain traits that their environment, without exception doesn't alter.

The video you posted, I endured the entire two hours. While it is indeed factual, it also has a hidden agenda. THAT is the problem we, as a country, are facing. Getting all the facts from one source no longer exists.

There are many FACTS that the video leaves out that may or may not take the viewer into a different direction of belief than what the people behind the video wants you to believe.

IF you had never seen an American flag and I told you it was red, white, and blue. What would you picture in your could anyone see anything but the French flag?

  12. Nikki: I'm starting to wonder what Jerrod's not-so-hidden meaning is here.

Cortico: That's kind of exactly the reaction I want to have to this stuff.

@eloh: I'm glad you came back to clarify. I think we're on the same page with this stuff. The very existence of this video (with all it's terroristic imagery, really) is pretty hypocritical and makes me not trust what they have to say. That said, I also am certain they've painted something very specific here. I just don't like either side of it. I'm sure there's a point to be made, but this way doesn't seem best.

  13. I watched some of this movie, but I pretty much believe that anything like this is total crap. Conspiracy theories pretty much just feed themselves because any time you hold up something to show it's crap, it becomes another part of the conspiracy theory.

I got sick of it right around the time they were talking about how income tax is unconstitutional. Honestly- so what? They're necessary. I wonder how great life in America would be if everyone stopped paying taxes so we had absolutely no public services to help out the needy?

Two things that I was thinking of as I was watching this:

    1) It would be a MONUMENTAL undertaking to drop bombs on your own country and cover it up, with all the people that would have to be in the know. You can't even get a blow job in the oval office and keep it quiet.

    2) Anytime someone mentions "New World Order" anything they say after that is made out of bullshit and coincidence.
